Dysdercus sidae

The pale cotton stainer, Dysdercus sidae, belongs to family Pyrrhocoridae. This insect is known as occasional pest in some areas. The photograph here, showing the mating of D. sidae, was taken around University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa (Japan).
